Frances Lappe and Percy Schmeiser Address GMO Issues

Thirty years ago, Frances Moore LappĂ© started a revolution in the way Americans think about food and hunger. Now Frances and her daughter, Anna set out on an around-the-world journey to explore the greatest challenges we face in the new millennium. She’s on the show today to talk about her travels and to tell us what they discovered and her beliefs about whether we can transcend the rampant consumerism and capitalism she describes in her book Hope’s Edge: The Next Diet for a Small Planet. Later in the show they are joined by Percy Schmeiser, the organic farmer being sued by Monsanto.
