Author of “Code Name God” and co-founder of LASIK eye surgery Dr. Mani Bhaumik discusses the award he will present to Dr. Richard Lane, a professor of psychiatry, psychology and neuroscience at the University of Arizona. Dr. Michael Irwin is the Director of the Norman Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology at UCLA, which sponsors the presitigous award. The Mani Bhaumik Award was established last year to support scientists in the international community who advance the understanding of the brain and the conscious mind in healing through visionary research, books and education. Today the three experts will discuss brain imaging and the role of emotional awareness.
