Dr. Michael Irwin is a Norman Cousins Professor of Psychiatry and the Director of the Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology at UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior. Dr. Mani Bhaumik received his Ph.D. in physics and went on to co-invent laser technology to aid with LASIK eye surgery.Today he and Dr. Mani Bhaumik discuss the scientific study of consiousness and its noted affects on healing.
